Eco Choice Aotearoa (previously Environmental Choice New Zealand) is New Zealand’s official environmental labelling programme. The programme recognises environmentally preferable products and services by allowing the use of the Eco Choice Aotearoa label.
Products must meet strict standards developed and described in Eco Choice Aotearoa specifications. The requirements are based on the lifecycle of a product or service and its effects on the environment.
The New Zealand Government owns the programme and label and is managed by the independent New Zealand Ecolabelling Trust.
Tonkin + Taylor has an ongoing relationship with the New Zealand Ecolabelling Trust, providing technical support for the Eco Choice programme.
