Daniel Tan is a Geotechnical + Civil engineer with 20 years’ experience in landfill and geotechnical engineering projects. His expertise and involvement ranges from geotechnical investigations, stability assessments, deep bored foundation systems, bored tunnels, waste containment barrier systems, concept design to detailed design, preparation of tender and contract documents, site supervision and specialist construction quality assurance of landfill lining systems. He has acted as Engineer’s Representative on a number of major landfill construction contracts, deep foundation projects and a bored tunnel project. Daniel has worked in the capacity as Project Manager for the design and consenting of new landfills in New Zealand and large scale projects including bored tunnels in Singapore and deep foundation work in Malaysia.
His experience also includes research and development, manufacturing quality control and assessment of HDPE, LLDPE and PVC liners. He has provided specialist technical advice on landfill liner systems across the Asia – Pacific and Middle East regions.
